The drive for critical cleaning has been driven by the costs associated with warranty and visual defects associated with particles, with the trendline sloping steeply, leaving manufacturers in a catch-up situation. Manufacturers that have not kept pace with technology have seen a decline in contracts awarded, especially in the automotive sector.

An example of how CTG’s Ransohoff solutions can help companies meet this demand is its drum washers, which are standard systems using both spray and dip technology and can be used effectively in applications. high volume applications in the fasteners industry. When it comes to in-line processes, drum / screw washers are usually the machine of choice for head parts. This is because they can wash large volumes of parts per hour or can be placed at the end of a header machine for continuous flow. For small volumes and in the precision fasteners industry, the product line of choice is the Lean Jet RB series (rotating basket). These systems include washing, rinsing and blowing in the base machine and are available in three sizes to meet almost any production demand.

Ransohoff also recently launched a new machine called LeanDrum CF (Cold Forming). This new platform provides a reliable and energy efficient solution for high volume cleaning needs, as well as an innovative design for cold forming applications.

The LeanDrum CF presents a rugged, less expensive option using all-stainless steel construction for wet surfaces, including housing, reservoirs, pumps, and drum. Ransohoff uses premium electrical components, full immersion cleaning and forced air dryer technology to produce consistent high quality cleaning results over extended machine life. The new LeanDrum CF has also been designed for easy access which will allow easy removal of the drum for maintenance.

The new LeanDrum CF is a 4.7ft wide x 9.7ft long x 5ft high low profile washer, rinse and blow machine. The parts production rate is 12 CU FT / hour at a design drum speed of 2 RPM, with a variable speed drive capable of 1 RPM to 3 RPM. This machine offers both spray and full immersion cleaning. The new LeanDrum CF also comes standard with the industry-leading 3-2-1 warranty.

Ransohoff also offers rotating basket parts washers for batch washing. The Ransohoff Lean Jet RB series is designed to fit into a work cell area or small to large production environment. The RB series of immersion cleaning systems utilize CTG’s patented wash and rinse process of agitation, spray impact, spin, and hydraulic immersion purge. The series comes standard with a heated forced air blast for drying.

The triple action batch cleaning process has been developed specifically to handle a wide range of difficult parts, especially those with bores and internal passages. The RB series has also been designed to incorporate Blackstone Ney ultrasound where required. The fully enclosed self-ventilation process means the operator is not exposed to vapors or mists found in other cleaning processes.

Also newly introduced is the new Return to Load (RTL) Spray Booth – a member of the Cell-U-Clean parts washer line that provides a reliable and energy efficient solution for high volume cleaning needs, as well as an innovative design for the little ones. parts cleaning applications.

The RTL is a great cabinet return to the washer operator for parts up to 40 lbs, where floor space is of the essence. This low cost spray washer was designed as a high capacity solution with low power consumption. The RTL platform comes standard as a wash-blow unit, but can be configured with an additional liquid stage when a flushing or rust protection application is required.

The new Cell-U-Clean RTL is a 5ft wide x 8ft long x 6.8ft high small footprint washer and blower machine. The parts production rate can reach 120 parts per hour, with variable speed table drive. The Cell-U-Clean RTL is completely made of stainless steel and comes with a robot charging option.
