Marcus, former Hull City winger MaddisonHis season hit a new low after reports claim he missed out on the recent home win over struggling Barrow because he slept too much.

Maddison is on loan at League Two’s Bolton Wanderers after being coached by Charlton boss Lee Bowyer despite moving to The Valley only earlier in the season, but the Daily Mail claims the 27-year-old has failed managed to show up at the University of Bolton Stadium for the team’s scheduled meeting time of 1:30 p.m., despite staying in a hotel 50 yards above the ground, and arrived rather late.

Sources told the Mail that Maddison missed the match because he “slept” with boss Ian Evatt after the match, attributing his absence to an illness bug, which disappeared in time for the former man to City take their place on the bench at Oldham a few days later.

The former Peterborough United winger was sent off on debut for Bolton, although that dismissal was later overturned by the FA – it has struggled to find a regular spot since.

While his doom at KCOM stadium Maddison only scored once in seven appearances last season as the Tigers opted not to make his move permanent, which left him without a club, which he admitted was hell.
