NBA DFS Picks Tonight: Best DraftKings Showdown Strategy for Warriors vs Grizzlies in Game 1
The Golden State Warriors travel to Tennessee to face the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Warriors are favorites to win the series, but the Grizzlies are the highest seed and won the regular season series 3-1.
This game has a pretty big gap between the stars and the guys off the bench in the DFS lineups, making it an interesting game to tackle for those in the contests on Sunday. Let’s review Showdown’s fantastic outlook for the game for contests on DraftKings.
Desmond Bane ($12,900) – People can save a little money here and still get great production in the captain’s place. Bane is on fire this playoff, especially behind the arc. He’s amassed a fantastic 40-plus points in three of the last four games, and his only sub has been 37.3 points. Support the Grizzlies shooter to keep his game hot against Golden State.
Jordan Poole ($12,600) – Poole may not have the impact of Stephen Curry but he looks set to have a better outing after struggling in Game 5. The advantage is there as Poole offers a 30+ point floor with the potential to burst depending on how his shot is.
Klay Thompson ($8,800) – Thompson has had a fantastic 40-plus points in each of his last two games and is looking more and more like his old self. The Warriors shooting guard will look consistent and has the potential to get hot at any time. It is worth that price every day.
Dillon Brooks ($7,200) – There’s reason to be skeptical of Brooks, who has moved back and forth between strong and average performances. The Grizzlies will likely rely more on their perimeter players against Golden State, which makes Brooks a solid option. In two games against the Warriors this season, Brooks averaged 17.0 points per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from deep.
Otto Porter Jr. ($4,000) – The price isn’t bad, but Porter Jr. hasn’t been great in the playoffs so far. He hovers around a fantastic 13-14 points per game, which is disappointing. Porter Jr. isn’t getting consistent minutes in Golden State’s rotation, making it hard to trust him as a value addition in Showdown contests.
Brandon Clarke ($7,600) – Clarke is coming off some massive fantasy performance, but he’s going to be in for a tough game with the Warriors here. Look for the Grizzlies to play more on the perimeter in this game, potentially limiting Clarke’s impact. At that price, it might be best to get the Grizzlies big man gone.
Regular season games between these two teams were lighter in terms of scoring. This one should be a little different with everyone healthy. Look for the Warriors to be deadly behind the arc, but the Grizzlies will counter effectively with their own shooters. This is shaping up to be a high-score thriller, and that means plenty of big scores across the board in DFS lineups.
Final score: Warriors 118, Grizzlies 114
