Norton Motorcycles Unveils Production V4SV

With the V4SV, Norton has started its new run with a supersport motorcycle, and the V4SV is clean! The V4SV is a refreshing take on the supersport design, in that unlike other supersport bikes which feature sharper profiles, cuts and creases, the V4SV has a rather flowing profile and looks quite well rounded. Available in two color options – Manx Silver and Carbon, it features carbon fiber elements, such as the lower half of the fairing, front fender and 15 liter fuel tank with Kevlar reinforcements. The Carbon option, in particular, gets carbon fiber bodywork along with carbon fiber BST wheels.
The Norton V4SV is powered by a liquid-cooled 1200cc 72-degree four-valve powertrain that develops 185hp at 12,500rpm and 125Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. The bike is built on a tubular aluminum frame suspended from fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends – Ohlins NIX 30 forks up front and a bespoke TTXGP monoshock at the rear. The braking setup is courtesy of Brembo, using twin 330mm discs with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc calipers up front and a 245mm disc out back. The V4SV also features adjustable cutting angle, steering offset and swingarm pivot. The swingarm is a single-sided, reinforced and suspended unit, and the weight of the bike without fluids measures 193 kg.
